At 17, I was wrongfully convicted of my mother’s murder. I spent over 26 years in prison for a crime I didn’t commit. What I lost can’t be measured—but what I gained can’t be faked: unshakable clarity, radical self-awareness, a deep reverence for truth, and a soul forged in the fire of injustice.
